Carina McDonald is a Senior Associate and member of Toddington International’s international faculty, bringing extensive operational experience in intelligence, investigations, interviewing, and online investigations. As a recognized specialist in Human Intelligence (HUMINT), Social Media Intelligence (SOCMINT), and critical thinking, she supports TII’s delivery of advanced intelligence education to government, law enforcement, defence, and private-sector organizations.
Drawing on her police training experience, Carina has developed particular expertise in integrating traditional investigative techniques with modern digital intelligence methodologies. Her work focuses on intelligence collection, behavioural analysis, online investigations, interviewing strategies, and analytical decision-making, helping investigators navigate increasingly complex information environments.
Working alongside TII’s international team of subject matter experts, Carina contributes to the development and delivery of specialized education programs that combine operational experience with practical, evidence-based methodologies. Her collaborative approach supports TII’s mission of providing intelligence professionals with relevant, current, and operationally focused capabilities.
Carina’s professional interests include HUMINT, SOCMINT, critical thinking, investigative interviewing, digital investigations, and the evolving role of artificial intelligence in supporting investigative and intelligence workflows while reinforcing the importance of human judgment and analytical rigor.
