Kathy Macdonald is a Senior Associate and Cybercrime Advisor with Toddington International Inc. (TII), bringing nearly three decades of policing, cybercrime prevention, and security experience to the company’s international network of subject matter experts. A retired member of the Calgary Police Service, Kathy is recognized nationally and internationally for her contributions to cyber safety, cyber security, and public awareness. In 2009, she was invested as a Member of the Order of Merit of the Police Forces (M.O.M.) by the Governor General of Canada in recognition of her outstanding work in cyber safety and cyber security.
Kathy supports Toddington International on a consulting basis, providing specialist expertise for selected client engagements, advisory projects, and educational initiatives where her experience adds particular value. Her background in cybercrime prevention, online fraud, social engineering, privacy, targeted intrusion, and digital risk strengthens TII’s ability to assemble multidisciplinary teams tailored to complex client requirements.
In addition to her work with TII, Kathy has developed and delivered cyber awareness and crime prevention programs for government, law enforcement, educational institutions, and private-sector organizations. She has instructed at the University of Calgary, served as an official police media spokesperson for more than a decade, and is a published author and frequent conference speaker on cyber security and online safety.
Kathy holds a Master’s Degree with Merit in Security and Risk Management, is a Certified Protection Professional (CPP), and has completed advanced studies in security management and general management. Her professional interests include cybercrime prevention, online fraud, social engineering, privacy, digital risk management, and the practical application of intelligence to improve organizational resilience.
