An experienced instructor and subject matter expert in intelligence, security and strategy, Carina designs and facilitates a wide range of courses for Toddington International. These include critical thinking, intelligence collection, strategic intelligence analysis, tradecraft and investigative techniques. Carina has trained a variety of overt and covert units from around the world in policing, military and law enforcement, as well as investigative and threat intelligence teams within Fortune 500 companies.

Carina holds a Master of Strategic Studies from the Centre for Military, Security and Strategic Studies.  A subject matter expert in extremist radicalisation and counterterrorism, Carina has been funded by the Department of National Defence and the Government of Canada to conduct cutting-edge research into extremist use of social media and online vectors of radicalization.

She combines this subject matter expertise with her advanced qualifications in several psychometric assessments pertaining to leadership, personality and behavioural analysis. Carina is frequently engaged by groups in the policing and military world for training on cognitive optimization, targeting and psychographic analysis, enhancing performance in high optempo environments, team dynamics and behavioural optimization.
Certified as an executive coach through the International Coach Federation, Carina brings a dynamic and interactive approach to teaching that complements her decade of experience in academia as an award-winning university instructor, where she focused on enabling the deep work that is required of critical and creative thinkers. An expert practitioner in HUMINT, SOCMINT and online engagement, she has worked at both the tactical and analytical levels, acquiring extensive online investigative skills and novel techniques.  She has shared her findings internationally.

Carina’s goal for clients is to help them develop the ability to shift between operational and analytical mindsets, and develop deeper cognitive awareness.  She works to ensure clients have the tactical and strategic mental tools needed to exploit rapid technological change, and challenges them to develop the creativity to stay ahead of a constantly shifting threat landscape.

With unique experience working at the Public Health Agency of Canada’s National Microbiology Laboratory (NML), Chelsey Goodman has played a vital role in many of Canada’s global infectious disease prevention and response initiatives, including the 2014 Ebola outbreak, the 2009 H1N1 avian flu pandemic, the 2008 SARS pandemic, and bio-terrorism surveillance at the 2010 Winter Olympics.

Chelsey is one of a small number of responders to experience real-time pandemic activation, as well as play a role in response and subsequent mitigation of global impacts.  Her knowledge of how disease outbreaks occur and what a real-time Emergency Operations Center can do is based on first person experience acting in the capacity of the NML’s Emergency Operations Chief.

As well as her real world scientific data-analysis experience, Chelsey is a highly skilled Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) practitioner and a passionate educator.

With an Intelligence career spanning over 30-years, Mark Ploszay has a unique insight into the world of intelligence operations and analysis.  With 22-years of experience as a United States Air Force Intelligence Analyst, Mark has worked in the Signals Intelligence (SIGINT), Electronic Intelligence (ELINT), and Human Intelligence (HUMINT) arenas, as well as having experience in Counter-Terrorism (CT) and Counter-Insurgency (COINS) operations, among other areas.

In addition, he had the distinction of having certified as an Intelligence Analyst under the US National Security Agency Professionalization Programme and to have served as a Royal Air Force Duty Reporting Officer at a Joint Nation Fused Analysis and Reporting Centre.

On the civilian law enforcement side of intelligence operations, Mark worked for six-years with the West Mercia Constabulary.  In his role as a civilian intelligence analyst assigned to the West Mercia Major Investigation Unit, Mark provided critical intelligence support to major criminal investigations, such as major fraud operations, people trafficking, organized crime, and homicide.

During the six-years that he was with i2 Ltd UK and IBM (i2), Mark filled a number of roles, from i2 Trainer to MENA Defence Programme Manager and Global Defence Programme Manager, in addition to Global Business Development as the IBM Global Defence, National Security, and Law Enforcement Specialist (SME).  In this i2 IBM role, Mark worked extensively with Defence, National Security, Law Enforcement and Immigration, and Custom & Excise and Border Forces around the world.

In 2017, he established Boston Harbour Technology Ltd, a registered UK Limited Company, to provide consultation services to clients around the world.  Mark has provided briefings, presentations, and domain advice for a wide variety of audiences to include the U.S. Congress, the Netherlands Ministry of Defence (MOD), the Australian Defence Science and Technology Organisation, the Spanish Defence War College, the Chief of Portuguese Defence Forces Intelligence Centre, the Director General Australian Defence Intelligence, the Spanish Defence Forces 1st Intelligence Regiment, the Australian Institute of Professional Intelligence Officers, the New Zealand Institute of Intelligence Professionals, the FBI National Academy Associates, the Singapore Defence Science and Technology Agency, Japan Self-Defence Force, Tokyo Customs, Australian Customs, Japanese Coast Guard, and a number of other defence, national security, intelligence, and law enforcement organizations around the world.

In his position with Toddington International, Mark’s roles include training curriculum development, course delivery, and consultation services.

Sabreen provides support for our domestic and international operations with a client-centred approach.

Possessing an innovative mindset, she is able to use her creativity and skills for the development of our growing inventory of e-learning programs and operational services.  She is a skilled researcher and educator, and demonstrates a strong understanding of today’s dynamic technologies.

In addition to her background in Criminal Justice, Sabreen brings strong ethics and integrity to the rapidly evolving field of OSINT and to Toddington International.

Bringing with him substantial experience in open-source intelligence investigations, corporate intelligence, risk assessment and strategic planning, Yaniv Pereyaslavsky specializes in issues of economic security and sensitive technology in the public sector.

Prior to joining Toddington International, Yaniv gained extensive experience in Intelligence, Surveillance, Target Acquisition, and Reconnaissance (ISTAR) roles while serving in the Canadian Forces; during his subsequent time in the private sector, Yaniv worked in both corporate intelligence and strategic planning roles in advanced technology industries.  With a strong background in machine learning, and cybersecurity, he was responsible for intelligence reporting on multi-million-dollar investment and research projects for key stakeholders.  Yaniv’s work in the high technology sector has included complex open-source investigations, information-operations, government relations, and the overseeing of comprehensive competitive intelligence products.

He continues his work on in interface between technology and national security for the Government of Canada.

Yaniv studied Security and Strategy at the University of British Columbia and the University of Copenhagen and is a certified Strategic and Competitive Intelligence Professional (SCIP).

As an instructor with Toddington International, Julie brings with her over two decades of experience from her service with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, having served as an Intelligence Analyst since 2002.

Continuing to maintain operational expertise in complex criminal investigations that include serial murder, missing persons, and financial and organized crime on both strategic and tactical levels, Julie is also experienced in the delivery of services to the private sector, including critical thinking and investigative techniques, corporate intelligence, brand protection, and online reputation management.

While working towards her PhD, Julie taught Criminology and Sociology at the University of Winnipeg and the University of Manitoba.  She has also taught Tactical Intelligence Analysis and Strategic Intelligence Analysis at the Canadian Police College, and has delivered Operational Intelligence Analysis training in South Asia on behalf of the Canadian Government.

Among other commendations, Julie has been awarded the Intelligence Program Professional Service Award for her contributions to the national intelligence program in the RCMP, and is a regular guest speaker at numerous private and public sector conferences throughout North America.

With Toddington International, Julie develops and facilitates Open Source Intelligence and Social Media Intelligence training courses for a wide range of agencies.
